Heavy Rain Alert Number One issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service at 7:00 pm this evening on Sunday 28th June 2015.
A Heavy Rain Alert is in force for all provinces and Islands.
Situation: An active trough lies just north of Solomon Islands and links to a Tropical Low near north of Malaita and slow moving.

Associated Cloud with Heavy Rain Showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the Solomon Islands within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Such localised Heavy rain showers may lead to flash flooding over communities living close to large rivers, streams and low lying areas.
Next update will be issued at 7:00 am tomorrow morning.
