NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE SOLOMON ISLANDS

Issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service at 8:40pm this evening on Monday 27th March 2023

An undersea earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred at 8:24pm this evening near Latitude 9.03 Degrees South, Longitude 159.04 Degrees East. This is approximately near 18.04 kilometres north west of Yandina, Russel Islands.

THERE IS NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE SOLOMON ISLANDS

No further updates unless the situation changes.
